Parents and community members are encouraged to apply for the St. Francis Area Schools District Advisory Committee.
Representatives needed: Committee members would be asked to represent the following category(ies):
Up to three K-5 parent representatives;
Up to three 6-12 parent representatives;
Up to three residents without school age children, non-representative of local business or industry;
Up to three resident representatives of local business or industry.
Some of the work that will occur in this committee includes:
Analysis of the school district’s progress toward implementation of the Minnesota Academic Standards.
Advise the school board on implementation of the state and local graduation requirements, including K-12 curriculum, assessment, student learning opportunities, and other related issues.
Examine data and recommend district wide goals to provide direction.
Work on district policies and practices.
Meetings: The group meets every second Monday of each month from 5-6:15 p.m. at the St. Francis Learning Center.
